My standards :) which I wouldn't recommend. I must say the RAW files I'm working on now are badly exposed shots of people in mist. Almost everything is grey. The camera was on Daylight and selecting cloudy in Pentax RAW more or less saves the pictures. Adobe Cloudy results in purple mist, Pentax

I've had no problems getting it to recover .pef files in the past Mark. I though the same as you when I first ran the program. Out of desperation I had it search for .nef (D1H/D1x) files. It recovered the files, I then changed the extension to .pef. Works like a charm. All exif data retained. I

I'm currently using a Tamron 28-75 f2.8 XR Di on my D, and it's quite nice (43-115 equivalent). But that lens is known as a better performer than the Sigma and the Tamron is very inexpensive new. I wouldn't get the Sigma unless it was significantly cheaper than the Tamron 28-75. -Adam

I've heard from a large number of people using PSE3 and 4 along with ACR. They seem to be satisfied with it. Similarly, a lot of folks like RawShooter Essentials. I can't evaluate that one as it does not run on Mac OS X, and I only use Mac OS X. But from comparison tests I've seen, ACR
