That's precisely my experience as well. I bought the 50 mm macro takumar at a
good price thinking that it would be more use than my 90 mm Tamron on the DS.

I use a spreadsheet set up years ago to manage my slide collection
(Open Office Calc - actually I originally used a database program but
I find Open Office can cope for the present). The spreadsheet has a
