The 8/500 and 8/800 MR-Telyt-R lenses for Leica were made by Minolta. No 600
mm mirror Leica lens, not by Perkin-Elmer, not by Vivitar.
All the best!

No Leica lenses have been made by Cosina - so far. Sigma, yes and Minolta,
yes.
But it was a question about KA mount Carl Zeiss Jena lenses.

I agree, this list is more friendly - democratic, you might say.
I used to own Alfa Romeos, too.
I see that on your list you show and image of BMW GS - I did own a Moto
Guzzi California III, now I have a Honda.

Auto/manual switch is not needed, the aperture will close or open as you
turn the aperture ring.

Yes, you are right. M42 lenses are indeed different from K mount lenses in
this respect. Sorry about the confusion I may have caused.

Mine neeeded at least about 2 f-stops of underexposure to fire the flash,
even if the X-LED illuminated - which it did like you say.

Any idea
What shutter speed the camera was offering? Was it close to the sync speed
1/60? Sometimes the camera shows a speed that should require triggering of
the flash but then decides against it when you take the actual picture. At
least mine did. Mildly annoying.

Yep - and from the Leica list I remember this good hint: always shoot from
the shadow side - advice by the respected Canadian photographer Ted Grant.

Yeah, I thought you know your LX but after the drop you might not remember
it - but you did. So there must be something wrong with it.
BTW I dropped my LX once and got away with only scratches.
