i recently burnt a selection of my digital photographs as an image to CD with nero 5 now all i have on the CD is 635 meg size image but no way of accessing files. Anyone know how? Cos this is my backup and my system buggered up so these are the only copies i have.

It's still true today, all else being equal, a lens design with less elements will be sharper and more contrasty than one with more. For a given focal length and speed, there is an ideal number of elements to optimize the design. More does NOT always equal better when it comes to lens elements.

I think what youre reffering to is PERSPECTIVE distortion which even a perfect lens would exhibit. It's not geometric distortion in that area. I think where the geometric distortion will show up more is if I shoot straight lines near the edges of the frame. Maybe next time JCO -Original

Just got yesterday what is the smallest M42 Takumar I've ever owned ( I own ALOT). The 1959 vintage 35mm F3.5 Auto-Takumar. This has a semi-automatic aperture and is so small the filter size is 46mm! Way cool. It's even smaller than the 28mm F3.5 ST/SMCT which in itself is pretty damn compact.
