When going through the menus, there doesn't seem to be a way to go back
one level, only "Home". Could breadcrumb navigation be implemented?

DSM6. Only blemish on the experience is the absence of LAME :(, which
I've not been able to solve as yet using any of the other methods

Hmmm, I found a bug :p
If you select 200 tracks as mix size, the M3U doesn't get created, and
it only copies 75 tracks ... I'll add the log later, as I can't easily
transfer it to the PC I'm working on at this moment :(

You are 100% correct. Spicefly Sugarcube even has a feature to allow you
to translate the path your music is found at (Dynamic Path Conversion).
Example:
- LMS is running on your NAS
- Music is on your NAS
- LMS sees your music on e.g. /mnt/music/
- MusicIP server is running on a PC

- My files reside on my NAS
- Location is shared through SMB/CIFS
- LMS + MusicIP runs on a separate machine (e.g. Vortexbox)

in the German thread I read that the Odroid with Max2Play doesn't output
5.1 without external soundcard. What do you mean exactly by that:
- It doesn't do analog 5.1 over HDMI
- It doesn't do DTS/ Dolby Digital passthrough over HDMI
- no 5.1 at all over HDMI
- something else entirely ;)
Another vote for Foobar2000. Another free* program on Windows which does
this is Mediamonkey, which at the same time is a very good Media
Management + tagging program, and using MonkeySqueeze can even be used
to control a Squeezebox.

top to bottom. It will allow you to check the state of all components in

Theoretically speaking it shouldn't have any consequences, as all data
is also saved into the MusicIP database (default.m3lib), which is where
the mixing system gets all data. I think your problem is caused by a
combination of factors: adding music to the MusicIP database through the
MusicIP Mixer

Just to add some counterweight here: I've been using Sugarcube for a
very long time now (I don't remember even with which version I started)
and it's been working perfectly ever since. In my current installation
it's queued up 18609 tracks, of which only 3.245% were randomly chosen.

On Windows 7 RC (build 7100) it works after adding the policy-plugin.
Looking good, too bad it's not being actively developed anymore.
