The script is running now, please see the screenshot below when a restart is requested using VNC. However, the server doesn't suspend while it's idle. Is it correct to put the same number of minutes (e.g. 30) to RPSS -and- to the systems energy options? What should I try next? Regards

crontab -e will get you into a mode where your syntax will be checked for you before the cron file gets saved. There is a way to involk that command so that nano is the editor rather than vi, which is uber arcane. I don't remember the exact env setting but google will turn it up for you. From

Hi gharris, First of all, I really like the idea behind SrvrPowerCtrl. Unfortunately, I havn't managed to get it to work properly. I'm running squeezeboxserver on a headless machine on ClearOS 5.2 (based on CentOS). Squeezeboxserver runs as root, at least I think it does. Linux newbie here...
