QualECAD View3D (www.qualecad.com) interfaces well with Pro-Engineer.
3D component models created in Pro-Engineer are imported into View3D/Protel via
VRML.
The board substrate, component locations and mounting holes are exported back out to
Pro-Engineer via IDF.

was that Mira wanted to find out how to do things in Protel, and my comments

What you're looking for is supported by the IDF-format. I know there exists
an E-CAD-interface module for Pro/E and together with one of the IDF
import/export modules, you can find on Protels homepage (3rd party
software), you should be able to accomplish the task.
Regarding physical component
I had a look at my Client99SE.ini file and the Servers are listed. The file
is less than 64K inn size. But...
