If the updated wpa_supplicant software for the radio is causing too many

I will test this in time but for now I'm back to daily radio use
activities to see how it performs and if any issues crop up. My previous
firmware flash partition still has a stock firmware image I can
hopefully revert to if needed
*I
have not tried to downgrade the radio back to the stock firmware yet so
I can't confirm it's even possible at the moment*. But as long as you
only flash the radio once, you should be able to revert to 7.7 using the
roll back procedure.

Because I was looking in the squeezeos repository not squeezeplay.
Thanks!

That's much easier. Thanks for the build path change.
I haven't been able to find the commit for Baby only - ignore firmware
older than SR to SB migration firmware (7.7.3 r16667).
Merging 7.7 into 7.8 committed no chances.

Yes, I thought the same thing when I last replied.
Created 'Community Build Radio Firmware'

continue all further development on 7.8 as the 7.7 changes are available
in the source tarball from a few days ago and were really only to
confirm the aac changes were doable.

Could you provide details on the change(s) the next time you have the
aws instance running?

First step. I'm going to POC the aac decoder using the current 7.7.3
squeezeplay with no other changes so it can be installed in place of the
current firmware jive binary for testing.
Your idea to update squeezeplay to mat
leaning towards backporting as you do loose the local backup alarm,
and navigation sound effects when using squeezelite. Headphone
switching still works and I haven't tried the line-in.

Now I need to decide if I'm brave enough to load it on my radio!
Perhaps a qemu test run first.

I can re-run the tests of interest again with the signal generator for
whatever duration if you'd like.

If you kill -9 jive the watchdog timer will automatically reboot the
radio within 60 seconds and you can't do anything with the radio once
jive is dead, so issuing the reboot command after updating
SqueezeboxBaby.lua is probably best.

modified settings files before the watchdog timer reboots the radio.
Not sure you can disable the watchdog timer.

Thank you, that would be great!
I've added the patch we discussed here to the squeezeplay git repo.
