They'll be good replacements, yep. The ghost shifts--up in the mid and
upper range, it may take two clicks to lock the gear in. It works...but it
can be a challenge. I doubt I'll change my CLEMshifters, but they are a

So can the S2s be used as a replacement for the stock shifters that came on

ok. i checked the wires and it looks like i was crimping the wire to the

Will the S2 be able to be mounted either conventionally up top on flat bars

Looks like Soma has the 12-32.
According to IRD website, they are no longer making the 12-32, only 12-30
and 12-34.

Hi all:
I am looking for a used 700c Dynamo wheel for a project. I'd prefer a Shimano

Going on a winter commuter, so nothing fancy please. Colour and condition
negotiable.
Please direct message me if you have something. Thanks!

Soma's FAQ about the Sparrow bars indicates that they're drilled out to
accept either reverse brake levers or bar end shifters, and they're
available as narrow as 49cm, if that's of interest.

Are those albatross bars? The parts list says "Nitto road bars". I ask
because I'm looking for a bar that is narrower than an albatross but takes
bar end shifters and MTB levers. It's been my understanding that albatross
is the only choice.

Congratulations! What a great tour. Your photos are wonderful. That is my

How were the temperatures?
