John G indicated that he wants to buy lighter wheels that will make him ride 8-10% faster with the same effort. He then asked if that was crazy talk. It may be crazy talk if you want that to obtain measurable and verifiable data that objectively shows that you are going faster without

[RBW] Platform Pedal Recommendation for Sam

2017-06-12 Thread Austin B
I'm looking for a recommendation for a decent quality, inexpensive (<$40), large platform pedal for my Sam Hillborne. I currently run Shimano XT SPD's on my Sam Hillborne but want platform pedals as I'm planning to do some rides along the C canal and fishing the Potomac. For this, I'd like to

Thanks, all. Abyclehank asked, "What speed wheels are you looking for?" Let's say I'd like to speed up by 8-10% (15 mph to 16 mph). Is that crazy talk? RichS asked how much I've played with tire pressure. My answer: not much! I'm 195 lbs, and I run my 44cm Snoqualmie Pass tires at 50 PSI. The

Looks like my riding position! Love the scarf! Tres chic and so French. I second your suggestion on the helmet. Thanks for posting this Eric. Regards, Richard On Monday, June 12, 2017 at 12:06:42 AM UTC-4, Eric Norris wrote: > > Here’s how French President Macron deals with backswept upright

John, A couple of thoughts: 1. How much have you played with tire pressure? 2. If you know someone who has a wheelset that meets your requirements maybe they would let you borrow it to check out before making the financial investment in your own wheels? FWIW my 53cm Atlantis runs 26"

I've never really had a computer installed on a bike. I've thought about installing a basic, reliable computer on my road bike as I would like something that tracks distance, speed and odo, like the OP is also considering. Something that always works and requires no managing. I do usually

I have had excellent results with H+Son Archetype and TB-14 (box section) rims. Another excellent, although significantly pricier, choice is the HED C2 Belgium and also the tubeless-ready HED Belgium Plus. The HED Belgium Plus is wider (internal width) than the rest although all of them are
