I think just letting everyone purchase via the website when they go live is the fairest option, so I support Riv in that decision, even though unfortunately the timing isn't going to work for everyone. Hopefully they respond to the demand with a second batch ASAP for those who miss out,

I'll echo what's been said already, that's an unbelievable collection of parts. Wow. I love the wide variety of handlebars out there today and I would run dozens of them on different bikes, but for me, the Hillborne should run one of two bars: Nitto Albatross or Nitto Noodle, and of course

I'll spend some time getting used to it before commenting but one thing I noticed is the geometry chart is compressed a bit too much and isn't really legible - though right-click and open in a new window solves that issue :) The old website was endearing but was certainly in need of a refresh!

Totally agree on the Crust / Riv collaboration frame. That would be really neat. I love the idea of single-batch collaboration runs like this, and it would be cool to see more of them. I tried to publicly connect Ocean Air Cycles and Rivendell to spark a MIT run of their Rambler frameset but

That EBISU is so sweet, and now I know who you are from IG haha. I guess the big question is what do you want the Rivendell to do and what qualities from these bikes do you want it to have / not have? Grant doesn't make a bad bike but he makes a handful that aren't probably what you're after!

Those stems look pretty neat (especially in Ti!) but are definitely massively tall. I have a 90mm Cigne that I'm only keeping in case I build a VO Neutrino in the future, because it has a pretty low stack height. That build is spectacular. It would look super nice with a Simworks cromo stem

I find that my Blundstones (double layer model) with cotton socks are good to about 35F, and then if I wear wool socks they're good to 25F. They're surprisingly water resistant too, takes at least an hour of steady rain before my feet start to get wet, and even then they never end up soaked.
