In any event, in the US a 10 meter repeater to be used on 11 meters would
not be legal. It would not have been type accepted for that use, the last I
checked FM mode was not 'viable' on 11 meters up here, and any machine would
undoubtedly have more than the legal limit of 4 watts output as well.

224 mhz is having a fit today. Sounds like some kind of a mix getting in,

IMHO towers that are guyed SHOULD have insulators breaking up the guy wires,
as close to the tower as possible, and at least one per guy wire. The guy
wires that were installed on the tower where my repeater is installed
through 14 in the area still on the air?
If so, I might suspect an IF image might be possible. I had
the same type of problem here from channel 13 getting into a
number of Icom receivers.
I had to notch the image frequency of my IF to get rid of
it.

Hmmm . interesting comment Bob. What IS a repeater supposed to sound like?
Having a CAT controller I can tell you I HATE the audio. ..stinks. A
cheaper ARCOM on the same repeater sounds far better. This sounds to me
like personal preference. But as this is THE BUILDERS forum, has anyone got

Eric, I bought a DTMF encoder to use on an ARCOM board in July. I cannot
recall what we got for it but I have contacted the seller to get that info.
I just don't recall what we bought..at the moment. As soon as I find that
