I cleared the Mason cache and I will see if the issue occurs again. The user was still experiencing the problem immediately after clearing the cache though (I then assigned him Global User Rights as a workaround -- see below). I have not made any known local modifications to the RT codebase.

Why doesn't the results page you see after doing the initial query redirect to the long URL you get when you click the show results link then? Because Search Builder does a POST, which is not cacheable, and causes the browser to resubmit the query. The link in the menu is created by pulling a
