I've stored excess in those jugs at least for a while...but I always gave

Not necessary to use tinted bottles or keep CS away from light so long as
you didn't make it with salt or baking soda which produces the photo
sensitive compounds, silver
It takes some time for silver and salt to make the chloride...so add and
use.
Silver Chloride isn't harmful but is less effective per PPM.
The main problem when using salt while making CS is that you generally have
ZERO idea how strong it is and can wind up taking massive amounts of silver
