kernel headers. You'd better warn upstream authors so they can
fix this.
Following linus advices on this topic, upstream authors should
copy what they need from kernel headers in their own private
headers as including kernel headers is bad(tm). API/ABI do not
change so a copy is prefered.

Quelle version du noyau, je n'ai moi meme connu ce genre de device
disconnected que sous un 2.6.6-rc(1|2)... et j'attend la version finale
avant de crier au bug noyau. Peut etre duncan a plus d'infos sur les

I'd say, they support us enough so the modems work. It's not the ideal
solution, but they support GNU/linux (and indirectly FreeBSD) more than
some others USB ADSL modem manufacturers.

Are you sure, you specify the tun/tap device in the pppoe command line
in the dsl-provider file ?

A new beta is available on the site. This is considered beta because we
have still work to do on documentation and pppoe support in pppoa. But
of course this release is at least as solid as the previous ones.

the aal5 40bytes padding. It's not very efficient as we loose bandwidth
because of atm/aal5 overhead. But we can't buffer things without
impacting ping and/or user bandwidth.

He is probably using a very old release (prior to october 2001?) that
misdetects ul and dl speeds in some countries where the ISP uses a
different byte order (Big endian or little endian)

operations.

3 - You've been kind enough to show logs but they were not so useful ;-)
Try adding verbosity to pppoa3 line in the peer file (option -v 2)

pppoa3 will dump all traffic it forwards from|to the USB modem so do let
pppd run too long because your logs will grow fast.
