Steve,
I am driving an '86 F250 with a home-brew biodiesel product in a B50 mixture
format without any problems here. Been doing so for four months now. It's been
a great experience for me driving past the gas stations. I put a new
aftermarket 38 gallon fuel tank on the truck. That was a job,
J.D, thanks a lot for the response.
OK,
You mean a 6.9 engine though, unless you have done a Cummins conversion.
I have an '86 with the 6.9 and it smoke like that before I got teh timing
set right. Another thing is, when they smoke its like a lot of the old
OTR Cummins L-10s and Macks, it
Bob,
I have worked with the biomass gasification process for quite a few years and
the conversion efficiency of biomass carbon to methanol is more in the 20%
region. Check http://www.refuelnet.de/content/refuelnet/pdf/SOMFB_99.pdf
At today's natural gas prices, it is cheaper to produce

Hello Keith!
So Keith, I'm glad you posted this
Todd and Bob,
I'm was thinking of this message from Walt Patrick:

The relevant part, is this paragraph:

Ross,
I have heard a lot, but calling Bush/Cheney ducks. ONLY based on the way
they look, talk and walk?
There are a few more things you know. LOL

I used to have one a 1987 f350 with the 6.9 what helped the thing stop
smoking as bad was opening up the intake system and give it some air. David

I just had to pass this on in case some of you have not been there already -

Greg, the only problem here is their is a whole bunch on chemistry and
even more engineering between the start and finish, and can this be done
in an energy efficient manner. Or would it be better to just burn the
glycerin in some sort of bulk oil burner?

Okay here is a question:
What would the price of the oil be for Algae farmed oil?
Someone here said they had been doing this stuff for years.
What is your price for various quantities?
Is it cheaper than Soy oil etc?

Hi All
Next week I am having 1000L of anhydrous methanol
dropped off for re-sale to bio-diesel producers.
Anyone can buy as much as you like. It will be
stored in 25L drums, which is enough to make 175L
to 200L of biodiesel depending if you recycle
methanol from the glycerol stream. I will also
Save the ducks, eat the politicians. The worst that could happen is you
could die. It would be worth it.

Hello John
Yes, I know about flavourings, did some work for an industry journal
at one time. I didn't think science was called for, McDonald's's
$10 mil seemed to say it all.
Best

It seems only to be a lab process, I don't think anyone is using it
for production.
