version of The Bat! (1.36 Beta/10) for some reason. I suggest you
first of all get the latest vesion (1.38e) and try if that works.

some webboard content, and it worked rather well. Of course you
download some redundant stuff too, but it's better than browsing
everything online. For answers you have to go online again though.

What are the setting is your Options|NetworkAdministration window? It's a
wild guess, but since you have a permanent connection it might help if you
