The GUI installer is essentially a wrapper for the Maven project: once
you manage to configure the latter for MySQL (which is actually far from
difficult), you could easily get into the same troubles you have with
GUI in
t database level on the
Activiti / Flowable tables, which are distinct from Syncope's, even if
in the same database.

I see your point now - sorry for misunderstanding.
The point here is that "userOwner" is not part of the Group mapping (as
I assume it is only injected by LDAPUserOwnerPropagationActions), correct?
Syncope will automatically generate propagation tasks towards an
External Resource
nsole: select the Group's row, then "provision members" /
"deprovision members" from the menu.

experience yet with ADFS.
Syncope is very strict at SAML 2.0 compliance (thanks to the underlying
CXF libraries), be sure to identify exactly where the failure occurs.
Please report your findings once done, or better consider adding this
use case to our reference guide via a PR.

I don't have any direct experience with Japanese, but I have with Arabic.
The only problems you might have are with database-level encoding: if
you are using MySQL / MariaDB ensure that collation is UTF-8.

need to research how to install the JDBC driver. I thought it was just as
simple as placing the .jar file that I downloaded from microsoft and placing
it in the Tomcat\lib folder.
Yes, it is as simple as that.
Please ensure that the "the .jar file downloaded from microsoft"
