mine ordered from them last year and asked for specific colours of hackle.
What he got was way of colour and when he contacted them the person who
runs the company was what can only be described has nasty so I
I tend you only use about six anyway, black, white, yellow, red, orange and
brown. I could also add mono which is clear and doesn't count to the six

I saw Jack tie it several years ago. He tied the hackle in as if tying a
sift hackle fly and then combed the hackle back with an eye lash comb to
get the effect he wanted. I will double check his book in a little while
but I am sure that is how he did it.
