convert some WMV files to QT. See if you think they feel like WMV
files.

Regularly set poster frames in QT6 to great effect.
But in QT 7 when I open a .mov with a poster frame, it begins playing
from the poster frame rather than the beginning of the video.
Because I'm doing lots of presentations that screwed with the flow -

Put a 30 second bit of music or whatever in QT and paste your :35 piece into it using edit -->> add scaled, et voila.

Question first: what do you have to interface between mic and camera,
anything? If you've got a mixer or similar device that takes 3-pin XLR
(or Canon) plugs, I can recommend Shure's SM-57 or SM-58 microphones.
They are dynamic mics with large diaphragms that require a lot of air

In the meantime, the cheapest, easiest way to get good sound into your
camera on the fly is to keep the camera close to the subject, typically
3-6 feet away.

Depends on what the background noise *is. Is if low frequency traffic
or high frequency fluorescent lights, bar noise, music?
