Hi. From within the Kindle app double tap with one finger. It will say, "Close
book." Double tap with one finger again, and your list of books in Kindle will
appear. Double tap with one finger on the book you wish to open.

the Amazon app, then you can download the book in the Kindle app.

You can't purchase Kindle books with the Kindle app or with the Amazon app. I
think this might be due to some restriction Apple places on apps for purchasing
content so that Apple makes sure it gets its cut but I'm not sure about that.

I've never used the app for newspapers, but to delete a book, you double-tap
from the book to open the Book Actions menu. Then double-tap Library to go to
your list of books. Then touch the title you want to delete, flick up or down
to Archive, and double-tap. I would think
