1. Do you have any apps open other than what you are using?
2. In Settings under Battery I believe you can choose what programs fetch data

I turned off all background refresh. It looks like location services gets
switched on. This causes 15-20% battery drain per hour, and the GPS antenna is

If you don't need to look at the screen, I would recommend turning down screen
brightness. You can find that setting in the general option under settings.

bar is to completely disable background app refresh. I attempted it again
last night with the same result after a reboot and a warm reset.
Go to settings, general, background app refresh
