I've been having problems using my 4S both using the At Bat app as well as
iTunes. It's been happening for the last several days. It's occurred on my
own Wi-Fi, as well as the hot spot where I've been receiving my chemo
treatments.
I'm guessing it's a server issue, but it's hard telling.

Technically AVI and MKV are just containers, but I'd suggest Hand
Brake for what you're wanting to do.
