On May 18,
I figured it out. In 8.2, there is some kind of “people” iem that shows on the
home screen and if focus is on that, the app switcher won’t work. If you tap
the screen and draw focus away from that, all works fine.

If you go to icloud and then to contacts there is an option to show contacts in
the app switcher. By the fault this option is set to on. Turning this off will
not show contacts in the app switcher.

Well this depends. If you're using a device with only the resources to run one
app at a time or a operating system that doesn't do much to manage resources
then this is true. However this isn't true of the iPhone. The question

I disagree, a couple of weeks ago I had almost every app on my phone, more
than 60 and I had about 50 open
Voiceover, and I do think it makes a difference.

Often, the currently open app is there, but one to the left. That is, focus
lands on the app next to the open one, so a one finger swipe left will put
you on the app you were in when you opened the App Switcher.

I'm a bit confused. If you swipe left and then right, you're back on the app
you started with, so why not close that app straight away?
