You can check the volume by saying wake word
the Lady A. And opposite
that is the mute button. That mute button makes a sound when mute goes on and
off. It is higher pitched when mute goes off than when it is muted.

Bookshare has a skill for Echo devices that I believe is still in beta, and
when I tried it a few months ago, was not worth the trouble.
BARD certainly is not on Echo yet.

currently working on making BARD available on these devices but nothing has
been announced about when this will happen. I expect it will take some time.

There are so many variations on Echo devices, that I suspect the Google Home
might be closest to the Echo Show or the full sized Echo, whatever it is called.
Maybe the Google Home Mini could be compared to the standard echo, but if you
are comparing the Google Home to the standard, small Echo

My echo just started making a funny noise and I couldn’t figure out what it was
about. Then I remembered I said a timer. It’s a noise I never would’ve
associated with a timer since it’s not any kind of noise I’ve ever heard on my
iPhone. I wonder if I can reset the sound

You have to understand the way these devices work.
The Alexa app on your phone is primarily an interface to adjust settings on
your Echo speaker, add skills and so on. Yes, it is to some extend also
allowing you to use your iPhone like
