The candidate will be expected to partner with the MDS development, management, and technical staff to continuously improve our quality assurance testing methodologies, systems, processes, and standards and to suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and quality of each phase of the software development life cycle. The primary skill set required is practical knowledge of QA testing methodologies and tools and extensive experience with validating application enhancements of various sizes. Technical knowledge in Unix and Databases will be crucial. Working knowledge of Perl, C++, and to a lesser extent Java will be useful but not required. Experience in structured software development teams and with release management is a major plus. 3+ Years IT or business background in similar role. Understanding of basic QA concepts and testing/development techniques for database systems. While several phases of the system have been completed and released, several additional phases must be developed, coded and implemented.
