Hi,
I read this with interest because I have not been able to take vit C without 
stomach discomfort for many year.  The only thing that seemed to work was the 
homemade LET C which helped me feel better without the stomach problem for 
about a month.  After about a month I found I was again having stomach pains (I 
figure from the remaining unencapsulated C that) so I switched to the Livon 
Labs formula.  With this formula I have *no* stomach pain... just more 
flatulence than I would prefer.

If anyone has an idea on how to make a high potency liposomal encapsulated 
cream I would love to hear it because I certainly feel better with between 
10-15 g of vit C in my bloodstream!

        Just a thought regarding the form you are using the lecithin in, 
liposomes have been around for many years. They were used in cosmetics as a 
delivery system for the 'actives' because they increased the bioavailability of 
the 'payload'. Then, folks extrapolated this concept to products taken 
internally. While it is true that certain ingredients are absorbed better when 
taken with fats, and there are certainly many products that are sold in a 
'powdered' format that have 'spray dried' lecithin applied to them for this 
reason. Here is what happens, it has been my contention that buying oral 
liposomal products (typically more expensive) are a waste of money. Once the 
liposome is taken internally and the product reaches the stomach (when it is 
mixed with water), the lecithin and the product dissociate. This means they 
separate, so now the extra $ that you paid to have this process done is 
literally...undone. The bottom line is...you can get the same effect if you 
want to increase the bioavailability of an ingredient by just putting your 
lecithin into the same glass of water that you are taking the 'active' with. 

        Now if for some reason you are using the lecithin to expidite a 
chemical reaction that 'changes' the active in some way before you take it, 
that would be a different story. Life will be much simpler if you just take the 
two together, this way as the stomach empties into the intestine, all 
ingredients will be there at the same time to 'do their thing' just like if 
they were in a liposomal form. A little test for you to try...if you take a bit 
of lecithin and put it into a glass of water (warm) you will notice that in a 
few mins. it will begin to disperse into the water. The same thing happens in 
the stomach.

          Thanks for that Doc - I have decided to send off for some from the 
UK, as mine came from the US and took a week and a half to get here (my 
fault--stingy on the shipping) I have always liked Now products, but it seems 
that others have had a problem with the lecithin or similar.  It is not clumpy 
and doesn't look particularly dark, but there is a definite 'paint' smell to 
it.  With this in mind I am going to get the one from Nature's Best here and 
see if it is different--it may just be me after all.  Thanks for the info.  dee
