yeah the last project I did we used a lot of redshift proxies, and nested redshift proxies to save space, it's just so hard trying to animate everything in one timeline when you have to use it outside in another file
that makes sense that setting up render stuff inside a referenced file would break things but I guess I'll just have to look utilizing more proxies, or trying out allembic
