Well, she doubted he was dirty, at least, just a complete incompetant. Well,
she would find some staff position that would irritate someone she didn't
like and stick him there. Maybe Garibaldi had an opening...
> Before she could react to Brell, she got a call. It was Capt.

> "Admiral Kitanya, i am sorry to disturb you, but I have some news
>for you. It would seem as if your aide is looking for you. The Tellerite
>has some information that you have been wanting. I told him that you would
>be happy to take care of it when you return."
Although her better judgment told her that he'd found nothing, the nagging
curiosity and deep burning within her heart for her soulmate tore at her to
answer the Tellarite now. She hesitated for a long time, saying nothing, as
the need for secrecy warred with the desire burning in her soul.
(resp?)
She roused from her reverie, a decision at last. "Yes, I'll speak with him
when I rrreturrn. I shouldn't be too much longerrr herrre."
(resp?)
When the channel closed, she closed her eyes and leaned her head against the
back of the chair, mane spilling over the headrest. She thought about him
every day, but the picture in her mind was starting to fade, and she hated
that most of all.
She got up and went to her bag and pulled out the little hologram she always
carried with her, a picture of him, the tall white Caitian laughing at
something just as the photographer snapped the holostill. Kitanya stared at
it for a long time, wondering where he was in the vast universe.
But his voice in her mind reminded her that this was no way for a warrior to
act, and she tucked the little hologram away. Her father, long dead, would
have even chastised her, though for a Klingon, he was rather compassionate
from living around so many Caitians all his life. She shook off the feeling
and got back to work.
She called up Brell. "Commanderrr, I would like to meet with you and yourrr
XO in ten minutes in the conferrrence rrroom."
(resp?)
She closed the connection and then opened a new one. "Admirrral Kitanya to
Lt. Commanderrr Rrrussco and Lt. Trrrell. I would like to meet with you
both in half an hourrr in the CO's office."
(resp?)
That done, she organized the paperwork necessary to transfer Brell and his
toadie out and back to Earth, and put Russco and Trell in their place. She
made sure to document all her findings about what had been going on at the
base, so if Brell decided to call in some of his high-powered friends, she
could throw it in their faces and easily weather the storm. When all that
was done, she headed for the conference room, the pair's new orders in hand.
(resp?)
"As you werre," she said, taking a seat. "I've been doing some rrresearrch
and I've come to some conclusions." She went over something on one of th
PADD's she had, making them sweat a little.
(resp?)
After a time, she finally looked up. "Afterrr talking to yourrr field
commanderrrs and rrreviewing the missions that have eben taking place, I
find the situation herrre to be completely unaccaptable. Which is why the
two of you arrre going back to Earrrth and will be on standby until I can
find someplace to put you wherrre you can't hurrrt anyone."
