>course, visit it later if you wish..." he added.

"No, I'll visit it," she said resolutely. "I'll visit it. Kitanya out."

>it can be run. You have no right to do this. Admiral, I have powerful

She looekd up calmly, but there was a fire in her eyes that warned not only
of a dangerous commanding officer, but a dangerous feline predator who
wasn't all that far away evolutionarily from her carnivorous ancestors.
"Arrre you thrrreatening me, Commanderrr?" she asked coolly.

"It's not slanderrr if it's the trrruth," she said, with a sharp edge to her
voice. "Not only do I have the accounts of everrry single field commanderrr
on this base, but I have the intelligence analyses you've been spewing out
of yourrr ass and giving to them, analyses that disrrregarrd crrritical
intelligence inforrmation and underrremphasizes orrr fails completely to
warrrn teams of what they arrre heading into. I have the mission rrrecorrds
that show rrrepeated unneccessarrry trrrips to the same locations, which
even a cub could figurrre out will alerrrt the enemy to theirrr prrresence,
and I have a severrrely wounded operrrative in sickbay because his team was
almost wiped out an a mission that should neverrr have been orrrderred!"
Her voice rose as she spoke, but never out of control, just forcefully
emphasized, and angry. "How can it possibly be slanderrr when I have all
the rrrecorrds rrright herrre in frrront of me that prrroves everrrything
I've seen? And I don't give a damn who yourrr frrriends arrre, Commanderrr,
I will not have my people butcherrred because you can't seem to get it
rrright!"
