Willful blindness can not protect you if it can be shown that you had a reasonable suspicion to believe they you are committing a crime. In fact in some cases a deliberate attempt to not obtain knowledge is proof of that knowledge.

Its an interesting question; can it be willful blindness if you don't have a choice? It isn't that people choose not to see the information, its that they can't. Now perhaps they don't want to either, but it is hard to see how someone can be said to willfully avoid doing something they couldn't do if they wanted to.
