If we assume that the war inside Russia isn't one then they wouldn't be
either.
But that's not what I think they were. Besides aren't you refering to the
revolution in Russia?

Almost 200 years, that's a long time IMO (besides if we change to our own
local politic someone is assumed to be completly swedish after their family
has lived here in three generations).

That was not what I was refering to. They were parts of the USSR were ex.
Russia consisted of several smaller parts as well - I have no idea if the
others were the same, but ex. Moldavia have had their share of problems).

I didn't know that so many were forced to move, are relatives to them
moving back as they are doing in .cz?
But it's cheaper to import things into Kaliningrad and then manufacture it
up by 10% or something like that and then you're allowed to sell it in the
entire Russian Federation. So they are diffrent (the big navy bases there
will on the other hand probably make it harder to break free since I would
believe many still dream of "the good old days" when they could crash their
subs on our coasts and claim to have gotten lost and get away with it <g>).
