4.3 is the development version - You are most probably using version 4.2 so 4.3 modules are unlikely to work. I actual think that the installation and user manuals on the wiki aren't that bad but the installation still is difficult for a lot of average computer users - it certainly is more difficult than most commercial products . That is even more the case when you have to set it up on a network or on Vista. It is often a case of try try again, however I have personally found OpenERP worth the pain and I have helped put in a few installations recommend it to anyone. On the subject of buying the book - I would say that it is by no means essential to buy the book to evaluate the product, it just may take a bit of time to get it installed correctly. However, If you decide to work with OpenERP then undoubtably the book would be good value (but again not essential). -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openerp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=24906#24906 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman/listinfo/tinyerp-users
