I think you are missing the point I already made in my previous
posts... :)

If you continue reading just a line below your previous quote of my
post:

So again, the point was that if, as you nicely say, "some owners are
more concerned with the sound quality of the Touch rather than some of
the features and are willing to do away with them for the possible
increase in sound quality", 
...they could actually go out and buy some other device.

Some dedicated SPDIF out device, without features that are removed by
this Touch mods.

So you could get more performance for less money, if audio quality is
of the greatest concern.

FOR ME IT MAKES NO SENSE TO BUY AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT AS TOUCH, AND THEN
DISABLE 90% PERCENT OF ITS FEATURES THAT YOU PAID FOR!

If your main/only concern is audio quality, there are other devices
that will do better in that regard for the similar money.

That was the point.

And I chose Touch.

No I'm not promoting other manufactures.
