************* The following message is relayed to you by [email protected] ************ Martin The things we believe to be unquestiionabley true are the ones we will have to most trouble timebreaking with TROM. This is why it is important to thank those opponents to your goals that cause you misemotion or cause you take action i.e. effort against them. They are bringing up what you need to timebreak so you can see it. I was never inclined to be a soldier so I may not be as dedicated to strategy and tatics of military conflict as you are, but I have read Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" because it resonates with my reactive minds need to take effective action agains agressors. I understand the game. I have spent a lot of time defining who I am fighting against and why so I could timebreak the beingnesses, postulates, counter postulates, emotions and efforts out of life's conflicts. Despite this I still have a first reaction to some aggressors like government bureaucrats, bankers, lawyers and courts, cops etc that I should shoot them first and talk later. I have much to work on here.
"I'm very uncertain on how to reason away life's necessities to protect itself." Your point is excellent. It at first seem unlikely that I can choose not to play a game with murders, robbers, bankers, etc and they will not bother me. however, the more I work at timebreaking my compulsion to meet aggression with aggression the more I find that my lack of interest in playing the game results in the game not occurring. It is easier to see this when the game is one of just trading insults with another person. They say "your mother wears army boots" and you ignore that comment and say well, Hi to you too, and how are you doing this bright sunny day? The next origination from this other will not be as insulting as the first. It would probably be harder for you to accept that all victims of crime are actively looking for someone to hurt them before the crime occurs. In my experience this is exactly the case. Anyway, these are interesting ideas to kick around and see if they work for you. I expect there are hard financial times coming in the form of a new Great Depression with 35% unemployment etc.. I could buy a lot of guns and ammo and shoot everyone who comes near or raise a large garden and start a neighbor hood garden club where we all try to raise different edible crops and trade with each other to get greater variety of things to eat. I am choosing the second course of action in the expectation that the criminals will go elsewhere where people want to be victims and other neighbors who want to be self sufficient will come to trade for food with me. We will see how this works out. I've always been a warrior. In the CoS I was often used by the old GO Guardian Office to preempt attacks on the Church. I never found any so called SP's -- LOL Recently - due to the crime in our area I drew up admin scales to establish neighborhood watches. The crime has consequently reduced. I'm very uncertain on how to reason away life's necessities to protect itself. I do, slightly, see your and Lester Levenson's point's of view. Ant, on the Ivy list, assisted me years ago in restraining a tendency of mine to be very acerbic with those who in a battle of wits failed to arm themselves, - (You see - there I go again) I'm obviously back on Level-4. The eight classes of overwhelm Oh shit - I have so much to time-break on level 4 - I think it will take a few eternities.
