David says:Being baptized into Christ or Baptism of the Holy Ghost by themselves do not involve putting away filth of the body.
Col 2:10-14 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
This operation performed without hands is LIKENED to Circumcission. It is a circumcission of the heart. God takes the old Stony heart & gives us a heart of flesh I believe it is in Ez 36
God curcumsizes our flesh from our spirit The flesh dies the spirit becomes alive.
it is a operation without hands. God's operating physician if you will.
Does this verse not in essence say:
putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried WITH HIM in Baptism, Risen WITH HIM through Faith in God's Operation.
So in this verse Baptized into christ is associated with putting off the body of sins of the flesh.
We are baptized INTO Christ
Buried WITH him in baptism Not washed with him!

Because in 1 Peter 3:20 he mentions saving by water, then in 3:21 he
mentions the like figure whereunto baptism also saves. Also in 3:21, he
speaks of how the saving part is not the putting away of the filth of
the body, but rather the answer of a good conscience toward God. Being
baptized into Christ or Baptism of the Holy Ghost by themselves do not
involve putting away filth of the body. Water baptism, on the other
hand, does involve putting away filth from the body. Take all these
observations together and we know that water baptism is what is in view
in this passage (1 Peter 3:21).
Peace be with you.
