Hopefully a couple of people will give their experiences of this kind of setup. If it's a goer then you could conceivably leave the linkstations on 24x7. If you need additional functionality such as email client, internet browsing etc. then you're probably best building an additional, seperate mini-ITX box that *doesn't* need to be on 24x7.
