I'm using xfce (not having used any other I don't really know what that means). I'm frankly terrified of trying another version of linux and climbing another learning curve. I don't think some experts realise how daunting all this is to a mere user. I also note you have introduced yet another term I was unaware of (LTS). That illustrates to me how complex all this is. As I have said, I foolishly believed this was a fairly straightforward activity. For me, there's too much to learn.
