I'm really confused now. The only way your SB players will work is by streaming across your network (either ethernet or wifi) to such player from a computer/NAS running SbS. Such computer running SbS (which could be Windows, MAC OS, linux, etc.) will have to access files. So in my case I have a headless computer (with all my files ON THAT COMPUTER) connected to my router. SbS is running on that computer. It then streams my music to all my SB Players in the house. Something has to do that. p.s. I note that I'm leaving out the option of running TinySbS within the TOUCH and simply connecting a USB drive to the touch. That sorta works for some people, but is not generally a good option. -- garym System 1: Vortexbox Appliance (1.10) > SbS 7.6.2 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) System 2: Win7(64) laptop > SbS 7.6.2 > Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio and laptop) Retired: SB3, Duet Receiver Controlled at both locations with: iPhone (iPeng), iPad (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.6 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Additional Tagging - mp3tag ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90827 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
