Please do not take offence, but IMHO, a user flicking switches and
pulling levers without being aware of the consequences, or what those
levers are switches are even supposed to do, and ending up with
"undesirable" results, is not the fault of the programmer who exposed
them to start with..... And I say that as someone who has recently
argued, that users who do not understand that a volume control that goes
past 10, to a Spinal Tap 11, need protection from not understanding that
going north of 0db is applying gain, when there might not be the
headroom to apply that gain without clipping/distortion. ;)
