Never been able to start a render with this software sorry.
You shouldn't ridicule yourself, Sebastien, with such unqualified
comments. And you shouldn't offer an opinion about a computer generated
movie (i.e. "elephant's dream") that you apparently never ever saw yourself.
Blender's user interface may seem odd to you, but then there are also
people on this list who complained 'bout Realsoft's (I don't belong to
them ;-) ....)
It's like flirting with a lady: you gotta get used to it/her to
appreciate the "hidden qualities" ....
And I feel a little bit offended as I paid not only for Realsoft's
program(s), but also to convert Blender into a free piece of software
with a community supporting it as loyal as Realsoft's. You don't make
your favorate app greater by trampling on tools others use with success,
sorry.

P.S. Would be interested in other freeware as powerful & community
centered as Blender - you mentioned it, so you surely could give at
least ONE example :-) ....
