I meant - if you write code you can put your copyright on it (hey you wrote it why not?). As for copyright assignment. Initially we thought that we should ask people to assign copyright to Univa if they want to include fixes but we continued to discuss and we were discussing that if we do have copyright assignment that it be assigned to an 'independent 3rd party' i.e. not Univa but something that we all have a stake in.
