Agreed. Alternatively, a "Not subscribed" line could be added automatically to their messages in some prominent location. OSX Mail, for example (which is what I use) offers no easy way I know of to spot emails from non-subscribed posters. The only method I've found is to select Message/Long Headers from the View menu for an email of interest and then look for the "Delivered to" line.
