Jeremy, if you have a Sam's Club near you, check out their 15 footer. It has very comfortable seats, drink holders and a built in ice chest. I have a 17 foot Grumann, but if I were in the market for another canoe, I'd certainly check the one at Sam's out. It is identical to the Olde Towne Discovery and costs about half as much. It is made out of a tough poly material. I ordered 75 of these for the 1997 Boy Scout Jambo, when I was the jambo Aquatic's Director that year, so I'm very familiar with both the Discovery and the Sams canoe. Also, if you have an Academy Sports store close, they have basically the same canoe, but cost is a little more than Sams, which is $399.

Cheers,

JIMMY

Just a quick question, how many of you fish from a canoe? I have been
considering purchasing a canoe for some local lake fishing. Is there any
better canoes for the fishing or will any old one work just fine?

I had considered a pontoon boat, however I like to take a friend or two
when I go, and the two man pontoons are out of my price range. I like the
idea of a canoe for its portability, I can throw it on top of my explorer
with little preparation.

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy
