Jeremy,
My buddy and I have fished from the canoe on several occasions. I always
enjoy the canoe even when not fishing. He has an old aluminum one that we
use but if I were in the market I would consider the old town canoes. They
have several models and theirs has a layer of foam in the bottom giving you
insulation for noise and a little more between you and the water.

My $0.02
Jim
