Katrina.  Here's a tip about using the gestures to get to the control
center.  Go to the top of your phone where you feel kind of a straight
line and kind of an indentation on the phone.  This is your speaker
grill for your earpiece speaker.  If you slide your finger down from
this point, you should get to your control center.  Good luck.
