Good answer.
My apologies, I misread the phrase "his audio CDs." Actually,
the difference between the meaning I took ("the audio CDs that
he bought at Tower with the money he made mowing lawns") and
yours ("the audio CDs that he made by recording his own work")
is pretty much the problem. The common perception is that the
two are equivalent in regards to what you can do with the CDs.
