I just replaced my cpu fan.
It was not difficult.
All I used was a philips screwdriver
I had to buy 4 new screws from the hardware store as the new fan was thicker than the one that was in there.
I got the fan at coolerguys.com.
The shipping was more than the fan..
My fan was just screwed to the spaces between the heat sink.
You need to be sure you get the same elec. connection as the old one.
Mine was a 3 pin.
Good luck.

My 4 year old Dell Dimension comes up with a CPU0 Fan error - I don't hear a fan whirring actually.
Where is the best place to get one - eBay?
Is it hard to replace - I'm fairly handy installing hardware.
