Indeed. I just looked at my "check" register for September and I wrote exactly 2 checks: One to an electrical contractor who wired a new shop we had built in the back yard and one to a local auction house which hasn't moved into the 21st century yet.
I live some 65 miles from the nearest branch of the credit union I use for all banking (well, except for the online deposits where I earn FDIC-insured 5.15% APY!) but all pay is direct deposited and for the small amount of cash I need, I just use a debit card at Wally World or Food Lion and they happily provide me with up to $100 over the amount of purchase. Truly amazing how far and fast we have moved toward a cashless, checkless society... -- Bill Hatcher [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- -----Original Message----- From: Windows Home/SOHO [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Diane Poremsky Sent: Tuesday, October 03, 2006 8:08 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [WINHOME] Comcast checks? how quaint. I pay exactly 1 bill by check each month (rent), plus the occassional pizza. Papajohns now accpets credit cards for online orders in my area, so i don't need the check for the pizza anymore. -- ---------------------------------------- WIN-HOME Archives: http://PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM/archives/WIN-HOME.html Contact the List Owner about anything: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html
