Having recently spent six weeks in France and Spain I didn't find 
anywhere that wouldn't take my credit card,  they didn't refuse the 
folding stuff either !! 

One place ( restaurant ) in Barcelona gave me a 5% discount for paying 
in cash !  Instead of 15% service charge they charged me 10%   Which is 
about what I would have given as a tip !!
